Hi there, I’m Lily. I’m a passionate gourmet (gourmand? gourmoosh? whatevs), a lifelong vegetarian, and a serious salt junky (volcanic! smoked! ala`ea! lavender!). I love to mix awesomeness in my Vitamix and bake the heck out of cobbler and slather myself with avocado, banana, and coconut.
I’m actually only half kidding about that last part because I grew up in Hawai’i, with these ingredients available in picking reach, along with a bounty of lilikoi (passion fruit), mango, papaya, ginger, figs, pomegranates, and just about everything else you can imagine. I live in San Francisco now, where I contend daily with the hardcorest of the hardcore foodies for a place in the hipster food chain. (Last I checked I’m coming in right behind the cupcake people. Hey, not bad, right?)
I have a hearty stash of easy, sophisticated, and deeply yummy dishes in just about every area of cuisine, all of them vegetarian. And check it: They’re all really healthy. Also: let it be known—you will not leave here hungry. And one last thing: I always recommend eating, cooking, mixing, etc. with your own two hands. The food likes the love. Trust me.
